MWC 2011: Windows Phone 7 to Double Global Reach

After the announcement made by Steve ballmer, Microsoft Chief Executive, by using his keynote at Mobile World Congress to show the future Windows Phone 7, Andy Lees, President of Microsoft’s Mobile communication Businesses said that we will go from addressing 42 per cent of the world’s smartphones to in excess of 88 percent this year and he added that some problems experienced in countries such as Poland, with the availability of specific characters will also be fixed this year.

Windows 7The newer version of windows phone 7 will include hardware acceleration for a mobile web browser on IE 9, to easily access the documents through Microsoft office tools that are stored on cloud based Skydrive and that will also be compatible with Microsoft’s Xbox Kinect video game accessory.

Twitter will also be integrated with WP7’s ‘People Hub’ and the software’s multitasking feature will also be improved. This new update is expected to be made available in the first two weeks of March 2011.

    No matter what they do, WP7 cant get better than Android and the iOS! Thats for sure!
