Finally the wait to the latest edition of the iPad, the iPad 2, has hit the stores with openings that saw people queuing in hordes, just to buy their favorite tablet device.
The iPad 2 was just a week ago revealed by Apple boss, Steve Jobs. This particular tablet is by far slimmer and lighter than the previous version of the iPad. Although the basic hardware is just the same as the iPad 1, iPad 2 has a new processer, the dual-core A5. Also, as expected, there are two cameras, one in the rear and another in the front allowing video conferencing via FaceTime. The rear camera can record HD quality videos at 720 p that are also editable and may be streamed onto HD screens via an HDMI port.
The device has only been launched in the United States for now and its price, though a pincher, is $499 for the 16GB version of the iPad 2, this is the least that one has to shell out. It is $599 for the 32GB version and $699 for the 64GB version. Add another $30 to it if you want it to have 3G connectivity, well you really have to, without 3G the iPad is just trash. And yes, not to forget the two service providers, AT&T and Verizon that are providing wireless connections on the device.
