Lenovo ThinkPad To Run On Android Honeycomb

Lenovo is about to launch its Lenovo ThinkTab that is an Android powered tablet. Already, images of the device have been leaked on the Internet and it seems that the ThinkTab shall come with a laptop dock. The laptop dock is such that it the tablet may simply be slid onto it such that it acts like a normal laptop monitor, as at the bottom half of the dock there is a standard QWERTY keyboard. So, it is supposed to be extremely portable and robust, as it can used just like any other laptop with a separate keyboard, or just like any other tablet device.

It is also believed to be running on the Android Honeycomb OS. The Honeycomb, as we know, is an Android operating system meant for tablet devices. This seems to be a change in marketing strategy for Lenovo, which had previously sold tablets that run Windows.

This 10.1″ WVGA wide touch screen Lenovo ThinkTab, has a dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. Its screen resolution ups the tablet ante with a stupendous 1280 x 800 display. Apart from these it can be used along with a stylus too to add to the ease of use of the users.

The Lenovo ThinkTab has also got ports for USB 2.0 and MicroUSB. It can also support an SD card. Well, these are some good features, and with the laptop dock, the tablet turns into a complete notebook. Expected to be launched in July, its price is rumored to be around $499 USD.
