Mobile World Congress 2012 Day 1 Round Up

The Mobile World Congress 2012 today begin at Barcelona, Spain and in the very same event different manufacturer showcased there new upcoming and yet-to be released devices. People all around the globe liked the event and appreciated it well. The event started today i.e. on Feb-27 and will end on 1st March.

Today global handset and device manufacturer like HTC, Huawei, Samsung and Sony showcased their devices. In this post I’m going to tell about each device that were announced today in MWC.

HTC:

On the very first day, handset and tablet manufacturing company HTC showcased its upcoming handset HTC One in three different variants- the X, the S and the V. As the name suggest all the three phones differs in their hardware configuration and with the design.

HTC One’s top model is, the X that comes with quad core processor, the mid variant will have dual core processor and the budget version will have single core processor.

HTC One X is powered by quad core 1.5GHz Tegra 3 processor, runs on Android 4.0 OS on the top with HTC Sense 4.0 UI.  It has 4.7-inch S-LCD display, has 1800 mAh battery , 1GB RAM , in built internal memory of 32GB , has 8 MP LED Flash rear and 1.3 MP front facing camera and records  video at 1080p i.e. 1920×1080 resolution.  Other remarkable features of HTC One X are it offers Bluetooth v.3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/a, HSDPA+, USB 2.0, microUSB, NFC, DLNA, HDMI, MHL, Computer and OTA sync as connectivity option.

HTC ONE X

HTC One S is the mid or second handset model under the name One that was announced by HTC in MWC. This phone comes with dual core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, runs on Android 4.0 and Sense 4.0 UI on the top. It has 4.0-inch S-AMOLED display, 1650 mAh battery, 1GB RAM, in built 16GB internal memory, 8 MP LED Flash rear and 1.3 MP front facing camera & records  video at 1080p. Other remarkable features of HTC One S are it offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HSDPA+, USB 2.0, microUSB, DLNA, HDMI, Computer and OTA sync as connectivity option.

HTC ONE S

HTC One V is the budget handset model that comes with single core 1 GHz Qualcomm processor, runs on Android 4.0 and Sense 3.6 UI on the top. It has 3.7-inch display, 1500 mAh battery, 512MB RAM, in built 4GB internal memory expandable up to 32 GB with microSD card,5 MP LED Flash rear and 1.3 MP front facing camera & records  video at 720p i.e. 1280×720 resolution. Other remarkable features of HTC One S are it offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HSPA, USB 2.0, microUSB, DLNA, HDMI, Computer and OTA sync as connectivity option.

HTC ONE V

All the three models announced today are expected to be released in market in Q2 2012.

Huawei:

Huawei announced three new smartphones Huawei Ascend D quad, Huawei Ascend D quad XL, Huawei Ascend D1 today in  Mobile World Congress among which Ascend D quad phone is declared as the world’s fastest Smartphone by Huawei.

Huawei Ascend D quad runs on 1.5 GHz Quad core processor, powered by Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0, offers 4.5-inches display at 720x1280px resolution. It has 1800 mAh battery, 1 GB RAM and comes with 8GB inbuilt memory that can be expandable up to 32GB with microSD. It has 8MP Dual LED BSI (Back-illuminated sensor) rear and 1.3 MP front facing camera & records HD video recording at 1080p.

ASCEND QUAD D

Huawei Ascend D quad offers HSDPA+, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0, GPS, USB v2.0, HDMI via microSD, DLNA, MHL, Computer and OTA sync as connectivity options.

Huawei Ascend D XL quad runs on 1.5 GHz Quad core processor, powered by Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0, offers 4.5-inches capacitive multi touch display at 720x1280px resolution. It has 2500 mAh battery has 1 GB RAM and comes with 8GB inbuilt memory that can be expandable up to 32GB with microSD. It has 8MP Dual LED BSI (Back-illuminated sensor) rear and 1.3 MP front facing camera and records HD video recording at 1080p.

ASCEND D QUAD XL

Huawei Ascend D offers HSDPA+, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0, GPS, USB v2.0, HDMI via microSD, DLNA, MHL, Computer and OTA sync as connectivity options.

Huawei Ascend D1 quad runs on 1.5 GHz dual core processor and is powered by Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 offers 4.5-inches capacitive multi touch display at 720x1280px resolution. It has 1670 mAh Li-on battery, 1 GB RAM and comes with 8GB inbuilt memory and can be expandable up to 32GB with microSD. It has 8MP AF rear and 1.3 MP front facing camera and records HD video recording at 1080p.

ASCEND QUAD D1

Huawei Ascend D offers HSDPA+, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0, GPS, USB v2.0, HDMI via microSD, DLNA, MHL, Computer and OTA sync as connectivity options.

All the three models announced today are expected to be released in market in Q2 2012.

Samsung:

After a big success of Galaxy family nomenclature now Samsung has decided to extend the Note family too and in the same effort Samsung has announced Note 10.1 today. As the name suggests Note, so the feature that we can figure out will be pretty much same with that of Galaxy Note that comes with 5.3-inch display.

Samsung Note 10.1 comes with 10.1-inch 1280x800p S-PLS LCD display, runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 with TouchWiz/L!ve Panel UX User Interface on the top and is powered by 1.4 GHz dual core processor.

GALAXY NOTE 10.1

Note 10.10 has 1GB RAM, 64 GB in built memory expandable up to 32GB with microSD, has 3 MP LED AF rear and 2 MP front facing camera and offers video recording at a pixel density of 720p i.e. 30fps. Offers HSDPA+, EDGE, GPRS, A-GPS, Bluetooth v3.0, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, USB v2.0, Computer and OTA sync as connectivity option and has 7000 mAh of battery life.

Samsung Note 10.10 will be available in three variants: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Wi-Fi, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 16GB & Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 32GB. It is expected that Samsung will release the next big brother of Galaxy Note 5.3, 10.10 in Q2 this year.

SONY:

Sony Ericsson announced Xperia U in the Mobile World Congress 2012. It is a mid range Smartphone with a phenomenal screen powered by Sony’s Color Booster Technology. The Xperia U is also known as Sony Ericsson Kumquat and Sony Ericsson ST25i.

Well, if we talk about the specification of Xperia U then it comes with 3.5-inch TFT display with 480x854px resolution, runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3, 512MB RAM and is powered by 1 GHz dual core STE U8500 processor.

Xperia U has 5 MP LED AF rear and 0.3 MP VGA front facing camera offers  HSPA, A-GPS, Bluetooth v3.0, Wi-Fi, USB v2.0, HDMI , DLNA, Tethering, Computer and OTA sync as connectivity options. The device comes with 4GB of internal memory that cannot be expandable with microSD card as Xperia U lags external memory card slot.

Xperia U comes with 1320 mAh battery that gives 6.6 hrs of talktime and 10.8 days on standby. Offers Light, Proximity as sensors and the scheduled release date for the device is in Q2 2012.
