Olive is all set to take upon the biggies of smartphone makers with the launch of its very own OliveSmart V-S300, which is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread based phone, for just about Indian Rs. 20,000. And by doing so, it becomes the first such phone to run the latest version of the Android OS.
The smartphone comes with services by Aircel. It has a 4.1-inch multi-touch sensitive display screen at a resolution of 800 x 480 pixel. It has a grand 512 MB RAM, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, along with Adreno graphics chipset. Mounted with a 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus, and a front camera for video conferencing is just not all.
It can also video record 720p HD video, and stream it into an HD television or computer monitor using its own HDMI port. Also, it supports all the necessities and frills that come in a smartphone, like Buetooth, 3G- HSPA (that allows downloads at speeds of 14.4 Mbps), web browsing, Wi-Fi, Adobe Flash 10.1, surround sound, live TV, digital compass and ebook reader. The 9.9mm phone looks extremely sleek and neat. At Rs. 20K it sure seems to be going for a greater market share than it already has.
