Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Launched in MWC 2011

Sony Ericsson finally launched its long awaited Xperia Play in Mobile World Congress 2011. Xperia Play is the most popular PSP console and a Smartphone device that was launched in MWC

Xperia Play comes with 4-inch capacitive mutli-touch display with FWVGA support at 480x854px resolution, runs on Android’s Gingerbread OS and it is powered by 1 GHz of Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 205 GPU, the Gingerbread OS comes with Timescape User interface.

Xperia Play displays slide-out to reveal the action button, Directional Pad, Touch pad and selection buttons. This phone has two shoulders buttons and the corners are rounded. Sony promised to bring basic 3D Gameplay at 60 frames per second on Xperia Play also promises to launch 50 new games from around 20 different game developers that will be launched on a weekly basis.

Other Features of Xperia Play includes a 5 Megapixel camera with AF, offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Digital Compass, Accelerometer, and Proximity Sensor.

As, this phone comes with preloaded with Android Gingerbread OS, so it turns Xperia Play into a mobile hotspot device that allow connecting up to 5 Wi-Fi devices at once.

Xperia Play will be available in both GSM an CDMA versions, it will be available in market from March onwards in two color, Black & white. When this phone will be launched in India, it will cost in or around Rs 30,000.
