Motorola Atrix 4G Rooted Before Release

Motorola ATRIX 4G is not yet been launched in the market, but the smartphone has already been rooted by the talented developers over at Android forums who were able to get root access to the Atrix 4G, just two days prior to the pre-order release on February 21st.

The root access will allows users to remove bloatware, more fully customize a device, use backup tools, and poke around in the internal system.

Now, Atrix 4G users will be able to take full control of their devices on the launch day. The root privileges will also allow user to enable application sideloading- something AT&T has restricted on their slate of Android devices.

It should be noted that Atrix 4G supports innovative Laptop Dock accessory and runs on Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processor, the potential for rooting this device is perhaps even greater.

The device was rooted thanks to the well-known AT&T developer, DesignGears with Getaphixx.
