In IFA event, Samsung has showcased Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 7.7-inch. After the huge success of Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, the company decided to take the name Galaxy to one step further and hence we have two more new products.
The Galaxy Note is a combination or say hybrid of mobile phone and tablet and Galaxy tab 7.7-inch has S-AMOLED plus display, making it as world’s first tablet powered by an S-AMOLED+ display technology. These two devices runs on Android OS and have a 1.4GHz dual core processor.
Samsung Galaxy Note:
Galaxy Note is a Smartphone cum tablet or you can say that it comes just in between the two. Note comes with 5.3 WXGVA screen with 1280×800 PPI & HD Super AMOLED display, runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and is powered by 1.4GHz dual core processor.
Other features of this Smartphone includes 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 2 MP front, 1080p full HD recording and playback,stereo FM radio with RDS; offers Bluetooth v3.0+ HS, USB 2.0, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g and Wi-Fi direct as connectivity options. Galaxy Note comes with 2500mAh standard Li-on battery; it has a 16GB internal memory and expandable upto 32GB with MicroSD.
The most advanced important feature of this Smartphone is the multi input feature that supports full touch and S Pen (an advanced smart pen) that lets you to freely capture and creates ideas anywhere and everywhere.
Galaxy Note comes in two variants; HSPA+ 21Mbps/4G LTE and that differs from country. Galaxy Note will cost around $635 and it will be launched on 2nd November, this year.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7:
In this Galaxy tab segment we have already many tabs available in the market but the difference that this new tab makes is, being the world’s first device to have S-AMOLED+ display technology. This device comes with 7.7 WXGVA S-AMOLED+ display, 1.4GHz dual core processor and runs on Android Honeycomb 3.2 OS with touch wiz UI.
Galaxy tab has 8GB LPDDR2 RAM comes with 16/32/64GB movi NAND and expandable memory upto 32GB. Supports 3MP AF LED rear camera and 2 MP FF and offers Bluetooth v3.0+ HS, 3G, A-GPS, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) as connectivity options.
Galaxy Tab 7.7″ is powered by 5100mAh battery, it has a dedicated Social Hub (integrated phonebook with SNS, IM, E-mail) and also offers enterprise solutions like EAS IT policy, VPN (Cisco/F5), ODE(On device encryption), MDM(Sybase Afaria) and Cisco WebEX.
Samsung Galaxy tab will cost around $875 and it will be launched in November along with Note, this year.
